Hi There my little Petals!
On the Weekend a friend of mine had a ‘what you wanted to be when you grew up’ costume Party for her 21st Birthday.
When I was little (well… I still am now) I was OBSESSED, and I mean obsessed, with Lady Lovely Locks. Whenever we went to the video shop, I would get Lady Lovely Locks and my sister and I used to play our own little version of it.

On my YouTube Channel, I filmed a ‘get ready with me’ style video of my Makeup and Costume.

This is a blog dedicated to the aftermath of Acrylic nails.
We all have been there. After removing Acrylic nails that have been on for month and months, our nail beds have more craters than the moon. If you are anything like me, you probably lost one of them and instead of soaking them off in acetone, like a normal person- you tore them off in a wild rage. So now you have ugly, cratered AND sore nails.
What to do now? Well, Embraham to the rescue with this post of tips you probably already knew. (you are welcome)
First thing to do is damage control. Your nails are hurting right now. They are parading around without clothes and it is all your fault, so the least you can do is nurse them back to health. Time for the ‘Nail Detox”.
I like to apply an intense moisturizer to my nails/cuticles for a few days. I actually tend to use Organic Coconut oil for this ( I use it for everything. Literally everything- I will post about it) and lather my hands, focusing on the nails and sleep with it on overnight. I have found it really helps.
The second thing I like to do, maybe a day or two into the ‘nothing on the nails’ period, is apply a strengthening treatment such as Sally Hansen ‘Hard as Nails’ Strengthener. I apply two or three coats for a couple of days. This is just going to repair and strengthen the nail bed. As much as I am having polish withdrawals by this time, I make sure I detox from all polish for at least a week.
Once I am happy with the condition of my nails I go in with the old fashioned at home paint job. Aint nothing wrong with a little home painting. I am guilty of owning a billion polishes, yet I tend to go to my nail tech every few weeks for a Acrylics or Shellac. I wont go back to Acrylics or Shellac until I am happy with the condition of my nails. I feel like, with anything, it is important to take a break from Nail products in general at least every few months.

Today’s face #4
Today’s face was all about longevity. Spending over 12 hours in the car, I would need products that I know would last on my face for not only that long, but last well without separating on my face. A touch up of powder was needed only once, so it held up well!

Hi there my Lovelies!
This weekend was super chilled- mostly consisted of a no makeup face. However on Saturday morning I had a few errands to run and I went out for breakfast with my boyfriend. I also attended a Play on Saturday Night called Midsomer. For that I just touched up and added NARS Velvet Lip Pencil in Damned to my makeup.

Today’s face #2
Yesterday I knew I was going to be out and about with friends and running errands. Apart from covering the straggler acne spots left from my reaction to a new cleanser, I wanted a face that I knew would last the length of the day. Most of my weekend is never planned but rather the story unfolds as the day progresses, new plans are made at existing plans. Saturday began with a late breakfast with friends, including the gorgeous Bec from Mybloggableday. A few errands were sorted and as much as I didn’t want to spend money I couldn’t resist picking up Clinique’s coveted ‘Take the day off cleansing balm’. As predicted, plans were made to have a tasting at our local brewery which lead to buying more beer and continuing the party. So I was correct in the fact I would need a long wearing face.

Till next time,
I love eyebrows. I have no idea why but for me, a face isn’t quite finished without a filled in brow.
Lately I seem to be pushing my powders and gels to the back- burner in favour of the pencil variety. For everyday- I still tend to rely on my faithful, old fashioned Sourcil Prescision Pencil from Bourgois.
When I am after a more defined, sculpted brow, for months I have been reaching for my Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpthing Pencil in Blonde. With its slanted tip and spoolie end, it had everything that I needed.
Then I decided to make my life harder and purchase the highly coveted Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde. Now I have two eyebrow pencils that I absolutely adore.
I thought I would let you know my opinion on both, if you are in the market for a new brow buddy.
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil-This is still my favourite I think. I cant get past the Pigmentation and the way the pencil blends out so flawlessly. I feel like the colour of this pencil suits my brows better. This product is more of a crayon consistency, but due to he slanted tip can be used to create thick or thin strokes and then can be turned on its flat edge for filling in. This pencil is probably more suited to people who know how to fill in their brows, I feel the shape may be a bit tricky for beginners.
Anastasia Brow Wiz-
The newer of the two in my collection, this product got off to a bad start with me as the pencil was broken before I opened it. This just says something about the pigmentation of the pencil. It is a grade quality. The tiny tip is great for precision work. I feel like this would be great for beginners. It is great for filling in with light, feathered strokes.
Overall I still think I like my hourglass pencil the most. No knows, maybe time will change my mind!
